For all BLS to ALS Providers: Student MUST bring your own stethoscope.
1. How much did you pay for your stethoscope? How much training did you get on how to use it? In this (Ear Opening) session, new and improved methods and techniques are presented and lung and heart sounds are also played aloud so all participants can hear the sounds rather than hear a “description” of the sound.
2. Studies are indicating that medical providers routinely hyper and sometimes hypo ventilate patients, often leading to poor outcomes. The response has been cute gadgets with flashing lights and “smart bags that won’t let you over do it!” What about educating providers? This hands on session emphasizes the skill of ventilation in all forms, Airway positioning, Bag Valve mask, CPAP, intubated with whatever, and includes a simulator to teach and evaluate your competency in the life saving skill. Bob includes an initial A&P review so you know how, what, and why you are doing what you are doing, and a convincing lab session with the latest technology that will reinforce your knowledge with practice. Tell me and I forget, Involve me and I understand! Maximum Number of Students: 24
